Yesterday evening we went to Frigiliana. There was a concert from The Bootleg Beatles. But at first The Mama Paulas Blues Band was playing.
We went with the free bus from Caleita . The concert was in the football stadium from Frigiliana and started about nine. The scenery was perfect: mountains, beautiful sky with many many stars and of course marvellous music.
Mama Paula is well known in Spain. She's a very good electric guitar player and she is a good singer too. She played with Eric Clapton en Mike Knopfler (Dire Straits). Her band is fantastic. They were playing covers, but some numbers of their new album too. It was just great.
The look a likes of The Beatles were perfect, especialy John Lennon and Paul McCarthy. When they came up you heard the oeh's and the ah's everywhere. They played more then 2 hours and every song they played we all knew and everybody was singing and dancing. Then you realise again the impact of this pop group.
It was a great evening!
